J. Michael Cole resides in Bentonville, Arkansas with his wife of 20 years and 2 children. He is a native Mississippian. When he's not shooting, he enjoys trout fishing and golf. He attends FBC Bentonville where he is active in the choir ministry. He is a faithful Christian and a family man. He is a member of the Professional Photographers of America and has a diverse background in photography and photo finishing which totals 20 years. His experience in photofinishing (printing and processing film and pictures) gives him a unique insight to the rapidly advancing world of digital imaging. Says J. Michael, "It's hard to understand what makes an image "digital" and how it should be handled unless you have experience in the "old way" of processing and printing pictures. I started my photo career hand-processing and printing black and white images in a darkroom. This knowledge gives me the ability to apply the same techniques in the digital environment. His shooting style can be described as a mix of traditional and journalistic. His eye for detail has been groomed over many years through experience and a watchful eye for detail. J.
